According to a report recently published SIPRI said, Vietnam has purchased 3 systems SPYDER-SR missiles, S-125 Pechora-2T, and especially the 20 combinations EXTRA rockets.

EXTRA missile developed by Israeli defense companies Military Industries (IMI) and has been exported to foreign countries to remain anonymous, even if the Israeli army has not yet entered service this weapon system.

EXTRA has a range of around 150 km, the weight of 150 kg missile, circular error probability (CEP) of about 10 m. Meanwhile, 155 mm artillery shells by US standards is expected to be 200-300 m CEP at much more modest range.

Namun sampai tahun 2015, hanya 10 unit MBT yang telah dikirimkan ke Angkatan Darat Thailand. Penundaan pengirim tersebut menjadi perhatian serius para petinggi militer, ungkap tulisan The Diplomat.

Majalah Diplomat melaporkan meskipun perwakilan dari Ukrspetsexport mengatakan bahwa lima tank akan disampaikan pada awal 2016, sumber Diplomat telah melaporkan bahwa Bangkok kemungkinan akan menolak kesepakatan karena kontrak awal menyebutkan pada tahun 2015, Ukraina harus mengirim 20 tank.

US Offers M109 SPH to Malaysia

SHAH ALAM: UNITED States has offered Malaysia up to 30 M109A5 Self Propelled Howitzer (SPH) under the Excess Defence Articles (EDA) programme. The M109s would be upgraded to the latest A5 standard before entering service with the Army, if the offer is taken up.

The upgrading could be done in the US or locally, industry sources told Malaysian Defence. It is likely around 20 SPH will be upgraded while the rest could be used as spares.
